Orient Green Power Company gained on Monday after its board of directors approved the proposal to sell whole of the 10 MW Biomass Unit of the company located at Samathur, Karianchettypalayam Village, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu by way of slump sale on a going concern basis.
The company will sell the above unit to one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, subject to the approval of the shareholders and other approvals as may be required for such sale.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 10, up Rs 0.21, or 2.15% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 1:04 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 10.20 and low of Rs 9.27. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 11,761.
In the earlier session, the shares rose 0.72%, or Rs 0.06, at Rs 9.79. Currently, the stock is trading down 32.89% from its 52-week high of Rs 14.90 and above 17.1% over the 52-week low of Rs 8.54.
