Orient Green Power to sell 10 MW Biomass Unit at Samathur

Orient Green Power Company said on Monday that its board of directors has approved the proposal to sell whole of the 10 MW Biomass Unit of the company located at Samathur, Karianchettypalayam Village, Pollachi Taluk 642 123, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu by way of slump sale on a going concern basis.

The above proposal is subject to the approval of the shareholders and other approvals as may be required for such sale.

''This is to facilitate the unit to sell power on the Group Captive mode in Tamil Nadu which would help in stability of operations and realisation,'' the company said.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.21, or 2.15%, to trade at Rs 10. The total volume of shares traded was 11,761 at the BSE (12.35 p.m., Monday).
