Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India announced today a fall of 5.5% in sales volume to 113,350 units in March 2014 compared with 119,937 units in March 2013.
It exported 11,081 vehicles, which was 8% lower compared with 12,047 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales during the month stood at 102,269 units, compared to 107,890 units in March last year, representing a fall of 5.2%.
Shares of the company declined Rs 26.4, or 1.34%, to trade at Rs 1,945. The total volume of shares traded was 56,533 at the BSE (11.05 a.m., Tuesday).
