Bharat Gears said on Monday that the commercial production at the company's Lonand Plant at Satara, Maharashtra has started from Mar. 31, 2014.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Mar. 28, 2014, falling 13.67% compared with the Sensex`s 5.78% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 6.61% as against 5.41% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.5, or 1.25%, to settle at Rs 39.45. The total volume of shares traded was 6,000 at the BSE (Monday).
