REC gains after transferring shares in UTL to Power Grid

Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) shares gained on Tuesday after the company said it has transferred its stake in Unchahar Transmission (UTL) to Power Grid Corporation of India. Shares of the company are trading at Rs 217.35, up Rs 5.25, or 2.48% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 1:36 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 218.60 and low of Rs 210.05. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 97,725.
In the earlier session, the shares gained 2.66%, or Rs 5.5, at Rs 212.10.
Currently, the stock is trading down 11.36% from its 52-week high of Rs 245.20 and above 48.72% over the 52-week low of Rs 146.15.
