Power Grid Corporation of India, leading power transmission company in India, pursuant to its selection as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding, has acquired Unchahar Transmission (UNCHAHAR TL).

The special purpose vehicle to establish the transmission system for ATS of Unchahar TPS on build, own operate and maintain (BOOM) basis on Mar. 24, 2014 from REC Transmission Projects Company (the Bid Process Cordinator).

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.5, or 1.45%, to trade at Rs 104.65. The total volume of shares traded was 444,986 at the BSE (12.49 p.m., Tuesday).
