KPR Mill has announced that in the company's processing unit situated at SIPCOT, Perundurai, Erode, an accident occurred on Mar. 18, 2014. Consequently its activities have been temporarily discontinued.

"The company is taking adequate steps to restore its normalcy. However this will not have material impact on the overall performance of the company," it said.

Shares of the company declined Rs 4.25, or 3.87%, to trade at Rs 105.45. The total volume of shares traded was 21,302 at the BSE (3.26 p.m., Friday).
