Canara Bank said that the bond committee has decided to raise additional capital of Rs 10 billion through issue of basel-III complaint Tier-II bonds.

The bank has received reaffirmation of rating 'AAA / stable from CRISIL & confirmation of rating 'AAA (hyb)' from ICRA for the proposed issue of the said bonds.

Shares of the bank declined Rs 6.8, or 2.76%, to settle at Rs 239.35. The total volume of shares traded was 168,936 at the BSE (Thursday).
