KEC International gains on new orders

KEC International, a RPG Group infrastructure EPC major, gained on Friday after it secured new orders worth Rs 12 billion in its transmission, power systems, railways and cables businesses.

In transmission and power system businesses, the company has secured orders in Afganistan, Americas, India and Abu Dhabi amounting to Rs 8.86 billion. In railway business, the company secured a composite order from the Rail Vikas Nigam, India.

The order includes electrification, civil works, signaling and telecommunication works in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The order value is Rs 2.28 billion. In cable business, the company has secured orders for the supply of power and telecom cables. The total value of these orders is Rs 0.86 billion (Rs 860 million).

Shares of the company are trading at Rs 61.60, up Rs 1.05, or 1.73% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 11:41 a.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 63.40 and low of Rs 59.55. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 99,324.

In the earlier session, the shares declined 0.49%, or Rs 0.3, at Rs 60.55. Currently, the stock is trading down 5.67% from its 52-week high of Rs 65.30 and above 164.95% over the 52-week low of Rs 23.25.
