Pidilite join hands with Indian Plumbing Skill Council

Pidilite Industries, makers of popular consumer brands, announced that the company has organized a series of initiatives in association with Indian Plumbing Association across 9 centers. The activities included expert talks on best Practices in Plumbing, occupational Hygiene and safety and emerging Trends in Plumbing.

Pidilite is associating with Indian Plumbing Skill Council for organizing skill development workshops for plumbers. So far Pidilite has trained over 25,000 plumbers and plans to take the programme on national level with IPSC.

Pidilite has been training plumbers through one of the largest contact programs, on safe plumbing practices and providing solutions to their day to day problems by offering M seal, Dr. Fixit and Holdtite Leakguard range of products.

Vishal Malhan, VP- sales and marketing, CP-MNT Division, Pidilite, said, ''As an industry, plumbing plays a paramount role in providing potable water, safe  sanitation  and  water conservation apart  from  ensuring safety of buildings and their occupants. It is crucial that Plumbers need to be trained and provided with required skill sets for them to be equipped and contribute towards improving water and sanitation conditions. To take this initiative forward Pidilite is associating with Indian Plumbing Skill Council for organizing skill development workshops for plumbers.''

Harpreet Singh, vice president - industry engagement, Indian Plumbing Skill Council (IPSC) said, ''IPSC works as an accrediting and certifying body to fill gaps between skilled and unskilled labor in India. We aim to initiate in developing national occupation standards, execute, aid and assist all activities towards skill development in plumbing sector. We are glad to announce our associations with Pidilite Industries Ltd. who are helping us take this initiative of training plumbers on a sustained and evolving basis.''

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.5, or 0.18%, to trade at Rs 279.80. The total volume of shares traded was 10,878 at the BSE (11.23 a.m., Thursday).
