Prism Cement up 2%, starts coal production in Madhya Pradesh

Prism Cement, a leading manufacturer of cement concrete, gained on Friday after it started production of coal at the Prism Coal Mine in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh.

The company has been granted all statutory clearances for the operation of the coal mine.

The mined coal will be used for captive consumption of the cement plant located at Satna, Madhya Pradesh.

Shares of the company are trading at Rs 29, up Rs 0.65, or 2.29% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 11:42 a.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 29.25 and low of Rs 28.20. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 532,476.

In the earlier session, the shares rose 2.53%, or Rs 0.7, at Rs 28.35. Currently, the stock is trading down 38.82% from its 52-week high of Rs 47.40 and above 27.19% over the 52-week low of Rs 22.80.
