ICICI Bank, India's largest private sector bank, has inaugurated its 50th branch in Rajasthan at Amargarh Chowki in Sawai Madhopur district, as part of its financial inclusion plan that aims at opening branches in villages devoid of any banking facility.
The Bank has 440 such branches in unbanked villages across India. Branch to offer agriculture related loan products including Kisan Credit Card.
Namo Narayan Meena, Union Minister of State for Finance, Government of India, inaugurated the branch. At the occasion, he said, ''It is wonderful to have an ICICI Bank branch in Amargarh Chowki. The people in and around this village will benefit greatly from the Bank's pioneering products and excellent customer service. I am confident that this new branch will have a positive impact on the socio-economic landscape of the region.''
Shares of the bank gained Rs 11.45, or 1.12%, to settle at Rs 1,036.20 at the BSE (Monday).
