Rolta announced that it has bagged 3D city modeling order worth USD 4 million by a major middle-eastern country.
Rolta is an early mover in developing, adopting and mastering the technologies required to address this emerging trend of using 3D city models for planning and e-governance. The company first bagged a project for establishing a large 3D map for Dubai. This was followed by multi-million dollar add-on awards from Dubai, a contract from the Sultanate of Oman, and the path-breaking USD 25 million project recently by Abu Dhabi.
KK Singh, chairman and chief executive officer of Rolta said, ''We are very pleased to have been selected for yet another 3D city modeling project. Shares of the company gained Rs 0.7, or 0.95%, to trade at Rs 74.65 at the BSE. (1.03 p.m., Monday).
