Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), the largest commodity exchange in India, has announced that Hemant Vastani, chief financial officer (CFO) has resigned from the company and his resignation has been accepted.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Feb. 19, 2014, falling 11.65% compared with the Sensex's 1.62% decline. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 5.40% as against 0.80% fall in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 6.15, or 1.13%, to trade at Rs 548.20. The total volume of shares traded was 935,642 at the BSE (2.34 p.m., Thursday).
