Oil marketing companies (OMCs) under-recovery on High Speed Diesel (HSD) increased 12.45% to Rs 8.31 a litre applicable for first fortnight of Feb. 16, 2014. This was Rs 7.39 a litre during first fortnight of February 2014 w.e.f. Feb. 2, 2014.
In the case of PDS Kerosene and Domestic LPG the under-recoveries for the month of February 2014 are Rs 35.76 a litre and Rs 655.96 per cylinder respectively.
OMCs, effective Feb. 16, 2014, are now incurring combined daily under-recovery of about Rs 4.56 billion on the sale of Diesel, PDS Kerosene and Domestic LPG. This is higher than Rs 4.46 billion daily under-recoveries during previous fortnight effective Feb. 1, 2014.
Further, the OMC's reported a total of Rs 1,006.32 billion as under-recoveries during Ist Nine months of 2013-14 (April-December) on Diesel, PDS Kerosene, Domestic LPG.
