Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), one of the India's leading infrastructure companies, has received orders worth Rs 7.25 billion in various business segments.
The first order from Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam for construction of 2.9 km long four lane bridge between Daudnagar and Nasriganj including approach roads over river Sone in the district of Aurangabad and Rohtas in the state of Bihar. The value of the contract is Rs.4.33 billion.
The company has also secured orders aggregating to Rs 2.93 billion, from Water, Nuclear and Industrial Sectors.
On winning contracts in different segments, Arun Karambeklar, president and whole time director, HCC said, ''We have received well diversified orders in terms of geographic and business spread. These orders reflect HCC's capability to cater to varied segments in an extremely competitive environment and reinforce our expertise in providing reliable solutions to the business segments we are operation.''
Shares of the company gained Rs 0.38, or 2.94%, to trade at Rs 13.31. The total volume of shares traded was 408,991 at the BSE (12.19 p.m., Monday).
