Oil marketing companies (OMCs) under-recovery on high speed diesel (HSD) decreased 24.13% to Rs 7.39 a litre applicable for first fortnight of Feb. 1, 2014. This was Rs 9.74 a litre during second fortnight of Jan. 2014 w.e.f. Jan. 1, 2014.
In the case of PDS Kerosene and Domestic LPG the under-recoveries for the month of February 2014 rose to Rs 35.77 a litre and Rs 655.96 a cylinder respectively against under-recoveries of Rs 37.33/litre and Rs 762.70 /cylinder respectively during January 2014 as announced.
OMCs, effective Feb. 1, 2014, are now incurring combined daily under-recovery of about Rs 4.46 billion on the sale of Diesel, PDS Kerosene and Domestic LPG. This is a lower than Rs 4.81 billion daily under-recoveries during previous fortnight effective Jan. 16, 2014.
The OMC's reported a total of Rs 1,006.32 billion as under-recoveries during Ist Nine month of 2013-14 (April-December) on Diesel, PDS Kerosene, Domestic LPG.
