The international crude oil price of Indian Basket went down 0.25% to USD 105.30 a barrel (bbl) on Jan. 28, 2014. This was lower than the price of USD 105.56 a bbl on previous trading day of Jan. 27, 2014.

In rupee terms, on the contrary also, the crude oil price of Indian Basket increased to Rs 6,632.85 a bbl on Jan. 28, 2014 as compared to Rs 6,619.67 a bbl on Jan. 27, 2014. This was due to rupee depreciation which completely wiped out the gains of fall in price in dollar terms on second consecutive day. 

Rupee closed weaker at Rs 62.99 per USD on Jan. 28, 2014 against Rs 62.71 per USD on Jan. 27, 2014.
