Thermax shares fell on Wednesday after it announced a sharp drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2013. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 12.72% to Rs 666.45 million from Rs 763.60 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter declined marginally 3.16% to Rs 10,137.70 million, compared with Rs 10,468.30 million for the prior year period.
Shares of Thermax are trading at Rs 660, down Rs 7, or 1.05% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 9:46 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 665 and low of Rs 650.90. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 981.
In the earlier session, the shares lost 0.84%, or Rs 5.65, at Rs 667.
Currently, the stock is trading down 8.08% from its 52-week high of Rs 718 and above 25.48% over the 52-week low of Rs 526.
