Kotak Mahindra Bank, one of the leading private sector lenders, on Tuesday, reported growth of 2.43% in its quarterly consolidated net profit.
 
The bank earned a profit of Rs 5.91 billion for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2013. The bank's quarterly income totaled Rs 44.25 billion, an increase of 6.43% over Rs 41.57 billion in the same period a year ago.

Shares of the bank declined Rs 17.8, or 2.44%, to trade at Rs 710.35. The total volume of shares traded was 80,093 at the BSE (1.33 p.m., Tuesday).
