The international crude oil price of Indian Basket marginally increased 0.11% to USD 104.52/a barrel (bbl) on Jan. 17, 2014. This was lower by about one USD than the price of USD 104.41/bbl on previous trading day of Jan. 16, 2014.
 
In rupee terms also the crude oil of price Indian Basket went declined to Rs 6,412.30 a bbl on Jan. 17, 2014 as compared to Rs 6,424.35/bbl on Jan. 16, 2014. This was due to Rupee appreciation which neutralised the impact of price increase in dollar terms.

Rupee closed weaker at Rs 61.35/USD on Jan. 17, 2014 against Rs 61.53/USD on Jan. 16, 2014.
