Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), leading housing finance provider, today said that the corporation  on Jan. 15, 2014 allotted 1,59,440 equity shares of Rs 2 each pursuant to exercise of stock options by certain employees/director.

Post the above allotment, the paid-up equity share capital of the corporation would stand at Rs 311,88,15,760 consisting of 155,94,07,880 equity shares of Rs. 2 each.

Shares of the company gained Rs 21.1, or 2.56%, to settle at Rs 844.95. The total volume of shares traded was 209,565 at the BSE (Wednesday).
