Domestic gold futures down 0.7%; silver up 0.8%

Gold and silver futures witnessed a divergent trend on Friday. August 2013 gold futures at the MCX were trading down 0.72% at Rs 25,192 per 10 grams at 12.03 a.m. It opened at Rs 25,247.

Meanwhile, July 2013 silver futures at the MCX were trading up 0.79% at Rs 39,101 per 1 kg after hitting high of Rs 39,293. It opened at Rs 38,792.
