Exide Industries has entered into an additional technical license and assistance agreement with Shin-Kobe Electric Machinery Company, Japan to implement new manufacturing processes for automative batteries.
Under this agreement, Shin-Kobe will provide Exide the technology and extensive technical support and assistance to enable Exide to manufacture quality automotive batteries in its various plants in India.
Shares of the company gained Rs 1.05, or 0.86%, to trade at Rs 122.60. The total volume of shares traded was 77,242 at the BSE (12.39 p.m., Tuesday).
