Nine stocks witnessing surge in trading volumes

Below is the list of stocks which registered sharp rise in trading volume at the BSE and NSE on Tuesday, Jan 29, 2013:

1. Adani Ports And Special Economic Zone witnessed a surge of 4.73 times in total traded volume over 22-DMA to 12,225,758 both at BSE and NSE. The 22-DMA volume stood at 2,582,358. Shares of the company were trading at Rs 153.45, up Rs 16.50 or 12.05% at the BSE on Tuesday, at 12.39 p.m. The scrip has reached an intraday high of Rs 153.7 and low of Rs 137.2.

2. Marico registered a jump of 1.62 times in total traded volume over 22-DMA to 556,604 both at BSE and NSE. The 22-DMA volume stood at 344,433. Shares of the company were trading at Rs 223.05, up Rs 1.35 or 0.61% at the BSE on Tuesday, at 12.38 p.m. The scrip has reached an intraday high of Rs 226.5 and low of Rs 222.15.

3. Container Corporation Of India registered a surge of 3.82 times in total traded volume over 22-DMA to 228,510 both at BSE and NSE. The 22-DMA volume stood at 59,889.
