SpiceJet climbed on Thursday after media reports quoted that the company hopes it would also attract foreign investment after a senior government source told reporters rival Jet Airways was the front-runner to win an investment from Etihad Airways.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 47.80, up Rs 0.95, or 2.03% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 12:46 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 48.20 and low of Rs 47.25. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 3,285,562.
In the earlier session, the shares gained 3.77%, or Rs 1.7, at Rs 46.85. Currently, the stock is trading down 6.09% from its 52-week high of Rs 50.90 and above 199.69% over the 52-week low of Rs 15.95.
