BGR Energy bags order worth Rs 15.5 bn

BGR Energy Systems announced Thursday the company has bagged order for steam turbine and generators for NTPC's lara 2x800 MW super thermal power project (STPP) in the State of Chattisgarh.

The order is valued at Rs 15.48 billion comprising USD 210 million, Euro 16 million and Rs 2.81 billion. The contract provides for price variation and foreign exchange variation risk protection.

As on date, the order book of the company is at Rs 140.77 billion.

Shares of the company gained Rs 13.6, or 5.17%, to trade at Rs 276.70. The total volume of shares traded was 107,460 at the BSE (9.45 a.m., Thursday).
