REC to open tax free secured NCD issue on Dec 3

Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), a leading public infrastructure finance company in India`s power sector, will launch public issue of tax free secured redeemable non-convertible bonds, in the nature of debentures on Dec. 3, 2012 for subscription. The issue scheduled to close on Dec. 10, 2012.

The company has also filed shelf prospectus and prospectus tranche-I in respect of proposed public issue of tax free secured redeemable non-convertible bonds, in the nature of debentures, during the Financial Year 2012-13, with the Registrar of Companies (RoC), NCT of Delhi and Haryana on Nov. 27, 2012.

Shares of the company gained Rs 7.7, or 3.51%, to trade at Rs 227.35. The total volume of shares traded was 183,945 at the BSE (1.01 p.m., Thursday).
