SpiceJet, a low cost air carrier, climbed on Wednesday after the media reports quoted the promoters may want to rope in an investor by offering a large and perhaps controlling stake.
Kalanithi Maran and his wife Kavery Kalanithi have reported resigned from the board of directors of Kal Airways, the holding company of SpiceJet.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 36.05, up Rs 1.1, or 3.15% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 12:13 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 36.60 and low of Rs 35.15. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 3,325,711.
In the earlier session, the shares rose 1.3%, or Rs 0.45, at Rs 34.95. Currently, the stock is trading down 12.71% from its 52-week high of Rs 41.30 and above 134.85% over the 52-week low of Rs 15.35.
