India's largest coffee exporter, Tata Coffee continued to hit new high on Friday on increased participation from investors, who are betting big on consumption theme. The company is expected to benefit from its association with Starbucks.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 790.75% to 1,208,717 compared with 22-day average volume of 135,696.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 1,482.35, up Rs 134.25, or 9.96% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 10:17 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,497.00 and low of Rs 1,374.30. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 348,666.
In the earlier session, the shares climbed 20%, or Rs 224.65, at Rs 1,348.10. Currently, the stock is trading all time 52-week high, which is above 108.49% over the 52-week low of Rs 711.00.
