Debt Funds only gainers for the week ended Feb 5

Debt Funds category emerged as the only gainers for the weekend Feb.05, 2010. NAVs of the Debt funds category gained 0.06% in the week ended Feb.05, 2010.

Debt Funds:


NAVs of the Debt funds category gained 0.06% in the week ended Feb.05, 2010.

Among the Debt funds, Sundaram BNP Paribas Global Advantage Fund gained 1.23%, Birla Sun Life Equity Linked FMP - Series D - Retail added 0.45%, Baroda Pioneer MIP Fund rose 0.33%, Kotak FMP 19M Series 1 - Institutional climbed 0.27% and Kotak Wealth Builder Series - I gained 0.26%.


Index Funds:

NAVs of the Index funds category declined 3.31% in the week ended Feb.05, 2010.

Among the Index funds, there were no gainers. NAVs of the entire schemes under this category declined during the week. HDFC Index Sensex Plus Plan declined 0.41%, Franklin India Index Tax Fund went down 0.75%, ICICI Prudential Index-Nifty Plan slipped 0.77%, HDFC Index Sensex Plan lost 0.83% and JM Nifty Plus Fund declined 2.47%.

ELSS Funds:
NAVs of the ELSS funds category declined 2.35% in the week ended Feb.05, 2010.

Among the ELSS funds, there were no gainers. NAVs of the entire schemes under this category declined during the week. Axis Tax Saver Fund declined 0.58%, ICICI Prudential R.I.G.H.T. Fund went down 1.08%, Religare Tax Plan slipped 1.1%, Quantum Tax Saving Fund lost 1.31% and HDFC Tax Saver declined 1.43%.

Equity-Diversified Funds:

NAVs of the Equity-Diversified funds category declined 2.16% in the week ended Feb.05, 2010.

Among the Equity-Diversified funds, there were no gainers. NAVs of the entire schemes under this category declined during the week. Benchmark Equity and Derivatives Opportunities Fund declined 0.01%, ICICI Prudential Equity and Derivatives Fund - Income Optimiser - Retail went down 0.08%, ICICI Prudential Equity and Derivatives Fund - Income Optimiser - Institutional slipped 0.08%, Religare Mid N Small Cap Fund lost 0.18% and Principal Global Opportunities Fund declined 0.3%.


Balanced Funds:

NAVs of the Balanced funds category declined 1.16% in the week ended Feb.05, 2010.

Among the Balanced funds, there were no gainers. NAVs of the entire schemes under this category declined during the week. Tata Young Citizens Fund declined 0.05%, ICICI Prudential Child Care Study Plan went down 0.1%, HDFC Children`s Gift Savings Plan slipped 0.17%, Escorts Opportunities Fund lost 0.23% and Templeton India Children`s Asset Plan - Education Plan declined 0.23%.

Sector Funds:

Among major gainers in the sector fund categories were, FMCG (0.57%),  in the week ended, Feb.05, 2010
