During the half year ended Sep. 30, 2009, its net revenue stood at Rs 92.92 billion up 7% as compared to Rs 87.06 billion in the same period last year. It reported 26% increase in net profit after statutory appropriations at Rs 9.40 billion as compared to Rs 7.48 billion in the corresponding period in the previous year. Shares of the company declined Rs 4.75, or 0.36%, to settle at Rs 1,327.05**.
ONGC is eyeing 20-25% stake in a giant Iranian gas field even as it awaits Tehran`s nod for its plan to develop a gas field it had discovered two years ago. Shares of ONGC declined Rs 4.85, or 0.41%, to settle at Rs 1,174.75**.

The group has posted a loss after minority interest and share of associates of Rs 27,072.50 million for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2009 as compared to profit of Rs 47,716.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. Total Income has decreased 42.57% from Rs 442,550 million for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2008 to Rs 254,129.80 million for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2009. Shares of the company closed down Rs 18.75, or 3.34%, at Rs 543.45**.
Asian Electronics announced that it would consider and approve proposal of floating 100% subsidiary of the company for the purpose of marketing of LED products.
