Bajaj Finserv and Bajaj Holdings & Investment both have got certificate of registration to carry on the business of a non-banking financial institution (NBFC) (non-deposit taking) from Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Bajaj Holdings & Investments formerly (de-merged) known as Bajaj Auto provides investment and financial services.
Bajaj Finserv`s principal activity is to provide consumer finance, life insurance, general insurance, financial products and wind energy generation services.
Shares of Bajaj Finserv gained Rs 12.4, or 4.1%, to trade at Rs 315.20. The total volume of shares traded was 117,458 at the BSE (3.15 p.m., Tuesday).
