Andhra Petrochemicals, engaged in the manufacture and sale of oxo-alcohols today announced that it has been implementing modernization - cum - optimization of its Oxo-Alcohols Plant, thereby enhancing the production capacity from the present 39,000 MTPA to 73,000 MTPA.
Modernization - cum - optimization of the plant requires the shut-down of the existing plant for integrating new facilities with the existing facilities.
The company this integration may take around two months during which period the mechanical completion of the project shall be achieved, followed by commissioning of the expansion plant.
In view of this, the Plant will be shut-down from Nov. 11, 2009. The company manufactures including 2-ethyl hexanol, N-butanol and I-butanol.
Shares of the company gained Rs 0.2, or 1.58%, to trade at Rs 12.84. The total volume of shares traded was 98,007 at the BSE (12.50 p.m., Tuesday).
