Drug maker, Wockhardt has received approval from US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Cetirizine Hydrochloride syrup.
The said drug would be available in the strength of 5 mg/5 ml.
Cetirizine Hydrochloride Syrup is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis due to allergens such as ragweed, grass and tree pollens in adults and children 2 years of age and older. Symptoms treated effectively include sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal pruritus, ocular pruritus, tearing, and redness of the eyes.
Shares of the company declined Rs 2.75, or 1.65%, to settle at Rs 163.55. The total volume of shares traded was 33,624 at the BSE ( Friday).
