Unichem Laboratories announced that the company has received ANDA approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Clonidine Hydrochloride Tablets USP, in the strengths of 0.1mg, 0.2mg and 0.3mg.

Clonidine Hydrochloride is prescribed alone or in combination for the reduction of high blood pressure and is an adjunct for the treatment of cancer pain when pain persists during intraspinal opiate treatments.

Shares of the company declined Rs 1.1, or 0.46%, to trade at Rs 239.80. The total volume of shares traded was 27,955 at the BSE (2.30 p.m., Thursday).
