Call rates decline during the week

Overnight call rates remained volatile during the week ended November 7. However, at the end of the week call rates declined on account of improved liquidity conditions.

At the beginning of the week, overnight call rates rose sharply within the range of 5.00-21.00% with Weighted Average Rate (WAR) at 17.89%.

Thereafter, call rates remained within the range of 5.00-19.00% with WAR at 17.54%.

However, during the mid-week call rates fell sharply within the range of 4.50-8.00% with WAR at 6.99%.

Thereafter, call rates increased within the range of 4.60-7.90% with WAR at 7.43%.

At the end of the week, call rates remained within the range of 4.60-7.65% with WAR at 7.42%.

Finally, at the last day of the week, call rates declined within the range of 4.25-7% with WAR at 6.30%.
