Indian equities continue to maintain the positive sentiment from the opening sessions with buying seen across BSE Bankex, capital goods and realty.

Currently, the 30-share index Sensex is trading up 423.74 points, or 4.33%, at 10,211.80, after touching a high of 10,358.63 and a low of 10,132.07. Meanwhile the broad based Nifty is trading higher by 99.95 points, or 3.46%, at 2,985.55, after hitting a high of 3,044.40 and a low of 2,885.40. (01.14 p.m.)

The 30-share index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 421.31 points, at 10,209.37. In the previous day session, the Sensex closed with a gain of 743.55 points, or 8.22%, while the NSE Nifty climbed by 188.55 points, or 6.99%.

Overall market breadth was positive. Out of the total 2,491 shares traded at BSE, 1,845 advanced, 587  declined while 59 remained unchanged.

Major gainers in the 30-share index were Tata Motors (11.67%), Reliance Infra (11.59%), D L F (10.10%), ICICI Bank (10.05%), State Bank Of India (9.37%), and Housing Development Finance Corporation (8.36%).

On the other hand, Satyam Computer Services (1.90%), Wipro (1.14%), ACC (0.89%), and Infosys Technologies (0.33%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
