 Zee News, a media company disclosed a sharp rise in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 99.35% to Rs 114.03 million from Rs 57.2 million in the same quarter, last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 59.34% to Rs 1,236.65 million, while total income for the quarter rose 58.73% to Rs 1,237.96 million, when compared with the prior year period.
The company reported earnings of Rs 0.48 a share during the quarter, a rise of 2 times over previous year period.
