Gilt yields climb as auctions weigh

Indian federal gilt yields climb on Wednesday, August 20 as investors sold securities to generate liquidity for this week`s gilt auctions, while a strike by employees of state-run banks had no impact on trading volumes.

The 10-year benchmark gilt yield settled at 9.14% on Wednesday, above Monday`s close of 9.08%.
