A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed today between Aries Agro and Yara Asia for the exclusive marketing of an entire range of specialty plant nutrients in India.

This agreement between the world`s largest soluble fertilizer company and Aries Agro, (Q,N,C,F)* India`s largest plant nutrients manufacturer and marketer, marks the beginning of a relationship, which will involve bringing to India several unique premium plant nutrition solutions, starting with three products during the current financial year, the company said in a release.

The first product in this range was launched today called `Teprosyn` a fortified seed treatment fertilizer containing zinc and phosphorus. This product is co-branded by Aries and Yara and will, starting today, be available across the Aries distribution network. Two more products would be launched during the current financial year.

The memorandum of understanding also includes sharing of knowledge and technical expertise between the two companies to promote this concept amongst the Indian farming community.

The introduction of the Yara range into Aries product portfolio will contribute to the top line and bottom line of the company, Aries Agro added.

Shares of Aries Agro gained Rs 1.45, or 1.57%, to settle at Rs 94. The total volume of shares traded was 1,524 at the BSE (Tuesday).
