Tata power falls on news of higher input cost

Shares of Tata Power Company are trading at Rs 1,090.00, down Rs 7.95, or 0.72% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 11:32 a.m.

The company is likely to be affected by renegotiation of coal prices by Indonesia demanding higher royalties as Tata power (Q, N,C,F)* imports most of its coal from the country.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,125.10 and low of Rs 1,071.00. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 97,205.

In the earlier session, the shares climbed 9.08%, or Rs 91.35, at Rs 1,006.60.
Currently, the stock is trading down 33.58% from its 52-week high of Rs 1,641.00 and above 68.99% over the 52-week low of Rs 645.00.
