Neha Int`l to consider acquisition in Ethiopia

The board of directors of Neha International (Q, N,C,F)* announced that a meeting will be held on July 06, 2009, to consider the acquisition of 50% stake in a floriculture unit located at Ethiopia.

The company is engaged in the business of floriculture which mainly includes growing and export of cut flowers.

The recent acquisition of Globeagro Holdings, a wholly-owned Mauritius-based subsidiary, has brought three floriculture companies in Ethiopia, namely, Holetta Roses, Alliance Flowers and Oromia Wonders, under the company`s fold and enabled it to emerge as a world class floriculture company.

Shares of the company traded flat, at Rs 15.45. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 324 (Thursday).
