Aurobindo gets five new approvals from MCC, South Africa

Aurobindo Pharma today announced that the Medicines Control Council (MCC), South Africa has granted approval to the company to manufacture and market five more products in South Africa.

The drugs include Auro-Abacavir (300 mg) in the tablet form, Auro-Abacavir (200 mg/ml) in oral form. It also comprises of Auroprozil (250 mg & 500 mg) in the tablet form, Auro-cefotaxime (250 mg, 500mg, 100mg & 200mg) in injection form and Auro-Cefalexin (250mg & 750 mg) in the tablet form.

The drug maker now has a total of 36 registrations approved by the MCC.  

Shares of the company gained Rs 7.8, or 1.73%, to trade at Rs 458. The total volume of shares traded was 38,177 at the BSE (3.32 p.m., Tuesday).
