Zydus gets nod from USFDA to market Risperidone tablet

Cadila Healthcare (Zydus Cadila) has received a final approval to market Risperidone Tablet in the strength of 0.5 mg and 2 mg from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).

Risperidone is an atypical antipsychotic used to treat adolescent schizophrenia, the mixed and manic states associated with bipolar disorder, and irritability in children with autism.

Recently, the company received a final approval to market Mycophenolate Mofetil tablets, 500 mg and Mycophenolate Mofetil capsules, 250 mg.

Shares of the company closed up Rs 7.6, or 2.43%, at Rs 321. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 19,366(Tuesday).
