FDC gets USFDA nod for Ofloxacin solution

Drug maker, FDC has received an approval for Ofloxacin Ophthalmic solution, 0.3% from US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).

Ofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution is an anti-infective used to treat infections caused by bacteria in conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers.

On Jul. 02, 2008, the company received an approval from the U.S. FDA for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) Ciprofloxacin Ophthalmic solution used for ocular surface infections.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.5, or 1.63%, to settle at Rs 31.20. The total volume of shares traded was 97,845 at the BSE (Wednesday).
