Aurobindo Pharma gets USFDA nod for Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride tablets

Drug maker, Aurobindo Pharma (Q, N,C,F)* has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride tablets, in the strengths of 10 mg and 5 mg.

Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride is used to treat the pain, stiffness, and sleep problems that occur with fibromyalgia.

Recently, the company received the tentative approval to manufacture and market Abacavir Sulfate / Lamivudine tablets, in the strength of 600mg / 300mg from USFDA.

Shares of the company closed up Rs 0.5, or 0.17%, at Rs 287. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 45,814 (Friday).
