Glenmark Pharma receives USFDA approval for Trandolapril tablets

Glenmark Generics, a subsidiary of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, (Q, N,C,F)* received ANDA approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Trandolapril tablets, in the strengths of 1 mg, 2 mg and 4 mg.

The company will soon commence marketing and distribution of Trandolapril tablets in the US market. Trandolapril is a drug that is used to lower blood pressure.

Recently, Glenmark Generics received ANDA approvals for Mometasone Furoate ointment USP, 0.1%, Mometasone Furoate cream and Metformin Hydrochloride tablets.

Shares of Glenmark Pharmaceutical were last trading down Rs 14.05, or 2.06%, at Rs 669.05. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 19,281 (12.12 p.m., Friday).
