Natco Pharma gets nod from Canadian regulatory agency

Natco Pharma announced that the Canadian Regulatory Agency (TPD - Health Canada), has accorded its approval to NATCO`s marketing partner - IP Generics based out of Canada for its product - Ondansetron 4 mg and 8 mg tablets.

 

This approval will facilitate Natco marketing its products in Canada.

 

The TPD - Health Canada had already approved the Citalopram Hydrobromide 20 mg and 40 mg tablets of NATCO.

 

Natco Pharma is engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical substances and finished dosage forms. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Sep. 19, 1981; it became a deemed public company on Jul. 01, 1992 and got its current name on Feb. 18, 1993. The company manufactures branded and generic dosage forms, bulk actives and intermediates.

Shares of the company declined Rs 2.95, or 1.97%, to trade at Rs 146.6. The total volume of shares traded was 4,142 at the BSE. (10.46 a.m., Friday)
