IG Petrochemicals informed, that a meeting of the board of directors of the company will be held on Oct. 23, 2007, to consider the unaudited financial results of the company, for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2007 and to declare interim dividend for the year 2007-2008.

IG Petrochemicals reported a phenomenal jump in net profits for the quarter ended June 2007. During the quarter, the company witnessed 86.42% rise in profits to Rs 100.50 million from Rs 53.91 million in the same quarter, last year.

Sales for the quarter rose 21.74% to Rs 1,520.43 million, compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.1, or 0.15%, to trade at Rs 65.00. The total volume of shares traded was 100 at the BSE. (10.24 a.m., Friday)
